Mystery Sensor -------------- There is a weird sensor in the Nokia 770. To watch it in action do this: Open a shell on the device and watch the output of # dbus-monitor --system Now put the cover on the device and tap against the top of the device. You can see these events happening: signal if=org.kernel.kevent; mtd=change; snd=:1.2; dtl=n/a signal if=org.kernel.kevent; mtd=change; snd=:1.2; dtl=n/a It does not seem to be caused by the microphone, since tapping against the sides does not reliably give a result. My current guess is, that the magnet in the cover somehow influences something in the device, I cannot really tell if it is intentional or not. The same event happens when opening the battery case, so maybe it is just a side-effect. Now. How do we abuse this for a game? :)
