Linux Alpha - Jensen
Also known as DEC 2000/DECpc 150/Highscreen AXP (bad picture)
The Jensen is different! This is because the Jensen is one of
the first PC style Alpha machines developed by Digital. The design is
experimental in some ways and does not always follow PC standards. But Linux
runs fine on it!
System Overview
- Alpha 21064 CPU @ 150MHz
- 512kB external 2nd level cache
- 8 PS/2 SIMM sockets, true parity needed for ECC, four SIMMs per bank
- one on board parallel port
- two on board serial ports (currently only the first is usable with
Linux!)
- six EISA slots, special ECU disk needed (EISA Configuration Utility)
- PS/2 connectors for keyboard and mouse
- non standard board, special power supply and enclosure needed
